Objetivos
The PhD course on ‘Mechanisms of Neuropsychiatric and Neurodegenerative Disorders’ offers an in-depth exploration into the molecular and cellular processes underlying these complex diseases. Designed for advanced students and researchers, the course explores the genetic, biochemical, and environmental factors that contribute to the development and progression of disorders such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, polyglutamine-expansion disorders (e.g. Huntington’s disease), Schizophrenia, Bipolar and Major Depressive disorders. Through a combination of lectures, and critical analysis of current literature, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the latest research techniques and therapeutic strategies aimed at combating these debilitating diseases. This course not only equips students with the knowledge to advance in the field of neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative research, but also fosters innovative thinking for developing new interventions and treatments
