PDBEB Courses 2023/2024 - Life with a PhD: How to Get Started in the Industry

Aim

This course aims to provide insight into scientific careers associated with the pharmaceutical drug development process and present tools and strategies to increase the chances of landing a fulfilling job in science, namely:

·         To provide an overview of the pharmaceutical drug development process and examples of scientific roles and their contribution;

·         To provide a mental framework for students to analyse and identify their interests and skills and pursue a matching scientific career;

·         To understand how to create a clear and readable curriculum vitae (CV) and a compelling cover letter in the context of job applications;

·         To provide useful tips on how to network with other people and prepare a job interview.
