The CiBB TechTransfer Office is organizing the 3rd edition of the course "Biotech Transfer: Step-by-Step'', a course developed for people (researchers, technology transfer professionals, entrepreneurs, business developers, managers) interested in the tech transfer area, especially focused on the biotechnology field.
Participants will get expertise on:
- Impact, success, and innovation in academia;
- Basic concepts of technology transfer;
- Intellectual Property (IP): definition and types;
- Patents: concepts, requirements, and exceptions;
- Patent searching and writing;
- Patent application process;
- How to negotiate a win-win deal;
- Funds attraction for startup creation from public sources and Venture Capitalists;
- Entrepreneurship (with a focus on bio-entrepreneurship) and leadership;
- Portugal’s Entrepreneurial Ecosystem.
