SENESCENCE2030 is a COST Action that builds a multidisciplinary European network to advance research on cellular senescence and its role in ageing and age-related diseases, with the aim of accelerating translation into clinical and societal impact.
The event on 19–20 May 2026 focuses on recent advances in cellular senescence and their relevance to healthy ageing. Sessions cover senescence mechanisms, its roles in neurological and cardiovascular ageing, cancer, and immune function, as well as biomarkers, therapeutic approaches, and socio‑economic aspects of ageing.
Keynote lectures and a poster session by Training School fellows complement the scientific discussions. The programme also includes an industry–academia workshop addressing innovation, GMP, regulatory considerations, and scaling in senescence research.
Representatives from biotech, pharma, and translational infrastructures take part in talks, round‑table discussions, and company pitches. The workshop aims to connect scientific progress with practical industrial and regulatory needs.
