The CAJAL Advanced Neuroscience Training Programme is a high-level training programme in Europe that offers excellent experimental and practical training courses in the field of neuroscience. It is funded by the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS), the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) and the Gatsby Foundation.

For Ana Luísa Carvalho, now Vice-President of the CAJAL Advanced Neuroscience Training Programme, “this is a programme that positions early career neuroscientists to become future leaders in the field, offering them access to cutting-edge technology, high-level research, and unique opportunities to interact with renowned neuroscientists. CAJAL courses are an immersive experience, in which students from diverse geographical and scientific backgrounds are invited to learn, innovate and collaborate. The programme bridges the gap between emerging researchers and cutting-edge research in Neuroscience, and paves the way for future collaborations.”

More than 500 international neuroscientists have participated in CAJAL courses and describe them as having been decisive in their careers in neuroscience.
