The Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology, University of Coimbra (CNC-UC) will hold elections for the position of CNC-UC President and for the Coordinators of the Scientific Areas on 16 September 2026, between 09:30 and 17:00. These elections are an important moment in the institution’s governance, allowing members of the CNC-UC community to participate in the selection of its scientific and administration leadership.

In preparation for the electoral process, the Electoral Commission will publish the electoral register by 30 June 2026. Members of the community will have the opportunity to review this register and submit any objections until 7 July 2026 at 23:59. Any such objections will be examined by the Electoral Commission, which will make the necessary amendments to the electoral register by 10 July 2026 at 23:59.

Applications for the positions of CNC-UC President and Coordinator of a Scientific Area must be submitted by 14 July 2026 at 23:59. The Electoral Commission will subsequently assess the admissibility of all applications and communicate its decisions by 20 July 2026 at 17:00.
