On January 19-23, 2026, the University of Coimbra, through EXCELScIOR project together with Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin will host the 2026 edition of Love Methods Week.

Through interactive virtual workshops and webinars, participants will gain practical skills to write and deposit reusable, step-by-step protocols, peer-review method sections, and design robust study protocols for preclinical research. Sessions will explore pre-registration for in vivo and in vitro studies, strategies for writing protocols that meet editorial standards, and best practices for citing and sharing reproducible methods.

The program also covers essential tools and guidelines, such as PRO-MaP, RRIDs, and methodological shortcut citations, to ensure transparency and reduce experimental bias. By fostering a culture of openness, the event aims to strengthen collaboration across the scientific community and improve the reliability of research outcomes.
