The CNC-UC expresses its profound sorrow at the passing of Professor Deolinda Lima, Emeritus Professor of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto and researcher at i3S.

Throughout a distinguished academic and scientific career dedicated to the study of pain processing mechanisms in the nervous system, Professor Lima made an outstanding contribution to the advancement of scientific knowledge. She supervised and inspired several generations of researchers and left a lasting legacy in the development of Neuroscience in Portugal and internationally.

The CNC-UC extends its deepest condolences to her family, friends, colleagues, and former students in this moment of mourning.
