Since my Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry I have grown a great interest on immunity, especially on the molecular and cell biology of the immune system. As such, I have later developed my Master thesis focusing on using direct cell reprogramming to better understand the heterogeneity of conventional dendritic cells type 2 (cDC2) . Currently a PhD student, I now aim at further developing this project, extending a direct cell reprogramming approach to dive into the diversity of all the dendritic cell lineage, also opening new possibilities for patient-tailored reprogramming-based immunotherapy approaches. Besides research, I also enjoy contributing to knowledge dissemination through science communication, having been a finalist of the FameLab 2017 and the 3-Minute Thesis Competition 2021 contests in Portugal. SciComm activities allow me to join my fascination for science with my enthusiasm for communication and public outreach, letting me share both my own and others' science stories.
