He studied Biological Sciences: Bionanotechnology at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ - IBCFF) and a lato sensu specialization in Public Health from the Oswaldo Cruz-Fiocruz Foundation Rio de Janeiro - Brazil / Universitat de València - Spain and master's degree in Molecular and Microbial Biology at the University of Algarve - Portugal.

worked as an intern in the Immunopharmacology laboratory at the Institute of Biophysics (IBCCF)-Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, which worked on the collaborative development of a nanobiotechnological vaccine platform for immunization against visceral Leishmaniasis. He was also part of the team at the Cell Culture Engineering Laboratory (LECC-COPPE), where he worked on projects to control the gene expression of engineered cells and in the purification of immunobiologicals with a vaccine bias. He was part of the team at the AIDS and molecular biology laboratory (LABAIDS/IOC/Fiocruz) where he developed projects related to the impact of mutations in the S and N protein of SARS-CoV-2 on epitopes recognized by T cells and also projects related to the HIV virus and its subtypes, through genotypic analyzes of antiretroviral-resistant viruses; study of the immunological mechanisms associated with the reconstitution of the immune response and characterization of the anti-HIV-1 humoral immune response in different subtypes. He has experience in the area of molecular biology, genetics and immunology, with an emphasis on immunology applied to vaccines, parasitology and neglected diseases.
