SleepApneaID

Overview

Project Summary

Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) is a prevalent sleep disorder with significant implications for individuals' health and well-being, yet a large proportion of cases remain undiagnosed. This not only impacts individuals' quality of life but also leads to substantial economic burdens on society. SleepApnea ID proposes a groundbreaking solution—a simple blood test for early and personalized detection of OSA. By addressing the limitations of current diagnostic methods, SleepApnea ID aims to reduce the number of undiagnosed cases and alleviate the associated health, social, and economic consequences of OSA, ultimately improving public health outcomes.

Main Goals

The primary objective of SleepApnea ID is to revolutionize the diagnosis of Obstructive Sleep Apnea by developing a fast, accurate, and personalized blood test. Long-term objectives include validating the concept's utility in primary care, establishing partnerships with fitness and well-being centers, and overcoming potential obstacles to commercialization. The project seeks to validate results, develop a prototype and pave the way for further investment and implementation of SleepApnea ID in clinical practice.
